Elk Grove Artists (EGA) is a non-profit, tax-exempt,
visual arts organization made up of local artists and art supporters/patrons near Sacramento, California. EGA has been
in existence for more than 20 years.

|
(The City of) Elk Grove was established
as a hotel stop and a stop for the stage in 1850. It is located about 15 miles south of historic Sutter’s Fort and thus
became a crossroads for business, entertainment, mail service and agriculture, and acted as home base for gold miners in nearby
communities. The City of Elk Grove incorporated on July 1, 2000.

The Elk Grove Community Library was established in October 1908 as the first county Free
Library in the state of California. It has changed its location many times, but has been at the current location since 1985
and is soon to move to its new location pictured at the left.

The Cosumnes Community Services District
(CSD) provides fire protection services to the cities of Elk Grove and Galt, as well as unincorporated areas in the region.
Additionally, the Cosumnes CSD provides parks and recreation services to the Elk Grove community.

The Sacramento Metropolitan Arts Commission (SMAC) actively fosters, develops
and advocates support of the arts within Sacramento City and County. SMAC is a valuable resource and community hub, helping
to create a vital arts scene that advances the quality of life in our region for residents and visitors alike, as well as
contributes to a growing economy. We do this largely through our programs.
